How to Quieten Inner Turbulence in Times of Changes

August 30th, 2011

In times of changes, we often go through “emotional roller coaster”. This actually is not surprising and need not render you over anxious. The most important thing is to realize that having some kind of anxieties is normal.

Admittedly the form of anxieties differ from situation to situation

Take for instance, someone who receives a business promotion which he or she has long dreamt about. Although initially overjoyed, the anxiety of self scrutiny will eventually come up. This is because as humans, we all want to give our best to whatever we do. When others put their faith in us, we don’t want to disappoint them. So what do we do? We begin doubting our ability and ask ourselves if we are truly qualified for the work, or if we can meet expectations.

Or someone who is suddenly faced with branching out on their own either because they have been laid off work or they simply have decided to go a new direction. I am one for firing up people who make the conscious decision to take a new path. Whether out of necessity or not, it is remarkable and you should commend yourself for your courage.

Effective Ways to Quieten The Nagging Mind
1. Fears and self doubts can plague us to the extent that we lose all motivation to take action even when we know what to do. The trick is to not suppress these fears or nagging thoughts. When they occur, observe them and breathe calmly into them without denying their existence.

2. Write down all your fears and doubts on a sheet of paper and each time any of the fear or doubts rears its head, take the paper and read out the fear. Cancel it out on the paper and close your eyes cancelling it out again in your mind. Then breathe in slowly and as you slowly breathe out say to yourself: “I release the energy of (say the fear), you no longer have any hold on me”. Repeat as many times as necessary until you feel that you’ve completely released the doubt or fear. Repeat the entire process for all the list on your paper as each doubt appears.

3. After releasing all your fears and doubts, you’ll begin to feel more calmer. This is the state of mind you want to be in order to fully align with what you need to do. Without inner peace, you cannot access real answers. Inner composure prepares you for the next step. This is to connect with your intuition for guidance. Now close your eyes and ask for inner guidance for whatever it is you want, bringing only one point at a time to focus. Ask for a clear direct answer and refrain from saying such things as: should I do this…. or should I do that? Instead be precise: “Show me the best way to handle this situation so that I’m able to use my gifts productively”

Always remember that inner turbulence mirrors our vulnerabilities to us. By paying attention to these vulnerabilities and embracing them consciously, we can integrate their energy into our being and fully combine the emotional and mental energies together to redirect their path constructively. As long as we are controlled by our vulnerabilities, we will not be able to master our intuition and find the right path in life with deep satisfaction.

Begin to use the three steps and you’ll be amaze at how easier you’re able to handle any change more effectively.

Let me know your experience with this method.

Frustrated – Are Your Efforts Not getting You Anywhere?

August 19th, 2011

Sometimes when we make changes in our lives feeling confident that everything will go well, we suddenly hit a plateau despite all our efforts.
This can get you frustrated, especially when you feel that you’re doing all you can and yet, seeing little or no results.

My whole life has been riddled with constant changes. I suppose you could say that I came into this life to assimilate the meaning of changes!

When dealing with changes that we engendered, it is important to remain clear. This is why I usually ask for inner guidance before taking action. Sometimes we are so focused on what we want to have happen that we overlook what it entails to get the results we desire.

Here are Five Reasons Why Frustrations Occur:

1. You know the change is right but don’t know which direction to go
2. You don’t have a clear structure to move you forward
3. You have a structure but you are inconsistent with administering it
4. You are doing it all alone
5. You are too impatient

To help you overcome your frustrations, first give yourself credit for wanting to move forward. When stagnation occurs in our life, we stop feeling the joy of living. Making the effort to change things is keeping the dynamic of our life alive. Because making an effort to change is not only a necessity for progress, it is what helps preserve the power that we already possess.

Don’t let your frusrations keep you down. If you’re dealing with any of the above mentioned reasons for your frustration, I can assure you from my over 56 years of constant changes, that you can learn to master your change with real contentment.

Where there is a challenge, there is also a solution. You just have to be ready to find the solution.

The solutions to all the above list are to be found in the frustrations themselves!

In the first case,
1. You know the change is right but don’t know which direction to go.
Simply go within and ask for inner guidance and become attentive to what occurs around you after that. Most times, you’ll get some promptings or indications – through friends, colleagues, reports, reading etc. Stay vigilant and alert. Your intuition will guide you well, if you listen.

In the second situation,
2. You don’t have a clear structure to move you forward
Sit down and make a list of 3 things you can easily start to do to move you forward. Write down the date by which each action will be implemented and follow through adjusting as necessary. When the first three actions are completed make the next three appropriate things to follow up.

For the third frustration
3. You have a structure but you are inconsistent with implementation.
Find a coach who will hold you accountable. We all have a lot going on in the course of the day and some important things often fall through the cracks. Still, if you’re committed to making your change work for you, then you’ll need some help with being consistent at your efforts.

4. You are doing it all alone
Get support. Once again, a coach can point you in the right direction and offer you the support you require. After all, getting feedback from someone who wants you to feel good about yourself rather than beating yourself up and feeling like crap is invaluable. Because in the long run, you’ll move forward faster and more joyfully.

For the last situation
5. You are too impatient
Patient is a great virtue, which many of us are still developing. When you work with a coach, you’ll be reminded of the progress you’re making and that focus, keeps you grounded, which again keeps your momentum going while your vision and patient continue to evolve.

How to Prevent Stress Damaging Your Body During a Change

August 16th, 2011

Goog health is all we’ve got to get us through any challenges in life. Without a good health, trying to handle any change can become a nightmare.

Stresses have a way of ruining our health if we ignore paying attention to what needs to be done.

I know this first hand after experiencing my worst nerve pains of Herpes Zoster (Shingles) last Spring.

Early in the year, I had been running around depleting my energy reserves – putting finishing touches to my book Intuition Involution, running the day to day administration of my Centre and trying to find new staffs and keeping a big household going and so forth… You get the picture.

It wasn’t until I woke up one morning with an excruciating pain all on one side of my body and couldn’t go back to sleep that I realized what was wrong. Initially, my skin had been erupting with some small spots for about 2 weeks. I had preiously put this down to some skin rashes, especially as we have been combatting some ants invasion in our kitchen with some anti ants spray.

Sitting up that night in my bed, I breathed deeply and shut my eyes completely tuning in and asked what was wrong. Instantly, I got the answer: “you’ve got shingles”. Yikes, that was a blow. But I knew my intuiive guidance was right.

I decided to take control. I thought back to my past work with former Shingles patients. I told my husband what it was and said I was going to cure it.

As a former naturopathic doctor, I consulted my books and ordered all the remedies I needed and began clearing my schedules to work fully on myself.

After 3 weeks of intensive and rigorous work with: natural remedies, homeopathy, water treatments, breathwork, food supplements and changing my diet, I was completely free of all pain and the skin rashes began to clear.

Remaing Stressfree in Times of Changes

After this experience, I knew that I had to become more aware of my stress level. I decided to pay more attention to things around me that may be causing more stress for me.

Here are 5 tips to help support your body in handling stress in your life, especially when facing changes.

1. When you wake up, take 5 minutes to release any tension you may feel in your body. It is not as difficult as it may sound. Close your eyes and tune into your body. Next, feel the different part of your body by breathing slowing into the tensed parts while allowing the tension to melt away.

2. Learn to prioritize the things you need to do and don’t overcompensate with your time if you can’t finish some work. Make sure you give yourself space between each work. This way, you can restock your energy, even if it’s just for 2 minutes.

3. It is easy to go into a frenzy mode when dealing with changes. Remember to eat well and take some good food supplements. I recommend Spirulina and Vit C. Spirulina is rich in all the Vit B complex and also has some essential minerals and trace elements. It is easily absorbed by our body.

4. Make it a habit of drinking plenty of still water in the course of the day, not only to slush out toxins, but to hydrate the brain cells and decongest your blood. In times of changes, we use up more energy and get easily dehydrated.

5. Before going to bed, sit still for about 10 minutes and do some deep breathing. My favourite is the alternatiing breathing. If you’d like to know more about this, contact me at kunbi@embracingchanges.com and I’ll send you the short description.

I have learnt to not allow outside pressure to undermine my inner peace. I believe this is crucial in being able to manage changes more effectively.

Carpe Diem – With a Heartfelt Embrace!

August 8th, 2011

When a new day begins we open our heart with gratitude and joy of new possiibilities. I have found that everything we need or want is already here for us, we are only required to open ourselves and embrace it into our lives.

CARPE DIEM – Seize the Day! This is a wonderful reminder of the numereous blessings right before us and which we often ignore or take for granted.
Seizing the Day in all that it encompasses and offers. Recognizing that I am right where I need to be and fully using that awareness to the best possibility daily gives me a deep sense of connectedness with all around me.

CARPE DIEM is also a nine letter word just like INTUITION swinging and vibrating in fulfilment and completion. I believe this means that whatever we do daily ought to be done with a clear open heart free of all reservations. Allowing our intuition to be the key to unlock the fulfilment of our creation.

I wish you a day of joyful and exuberance creation.

Using the Power of Perception to Change Things

August 3rd, 2011

Today is my birthday and I wanted to share this with you.

There are times when we feel that no matter what we do, nothing seems to be happening. This feeling cannot only frustrate us, but render us solemn and dispondent. I have come to realize that it is our perception of when and how we want things to show up that brings about doubts and frustrations.

Change your perception and your circumstances start to shift. What does this mean and how can we consciously remain in the state of receptivity instead of doubt which locks us into constriction?

first off, I have found that when I allow thing to be okay and remain in that space of openness, changes start occurring naturally.

It is important to remember that we have the power to form and reform things in and around us with our exceptional abilitiy of creativeness.

Using these 4-steps declarations can start your power of perception to unfold naturally:

1. Stop affirming that things are difficult. Instead, begin declaring: I am shifting things happilly and I am doing it well.
2. Tune within and repeat as often as necessary: I am now connecting with the everlasting all-embracing power and it is showing me the way.
3. I am choosing to free myself of all perceived and unwanted constraint.
4. I am Alert, I am Aware, I am Awaken and I am fully anchored in God’s beautiful Creation in peace, joy and clarity and with a creative approach to life now and always.

Always remember that when you commit to changing things in your life, things are no longer what they were before. Because you’ve already broken the vicious cycle and the shift has already began. Keep the momentum going by repeating the 4 steps constantly until you start sensing and feeling the changes around you.
Even if you still can’t see the physical appearance, don’t be misled. Remain connected to you inner sensing and things will appear in their own time.

Let your intuition continue to show you the way!
